I got here through another post I found on this forum. It was of great help, but there are a few things I still need help with.
So one: I want to switch between the stock trim pot for the motor speed and my own resistor. The pot I am using now is a B10k and it only affects the speed on one side for a short range. Is there a way to increase or decrease the motor speed more through there? Just to clarify, I am referring to the internal trim pot and not the external one on the front.
Two: The tone control knob only works in playback mode. I have modified the unit to do many things in record mode, but this one I don't know if it's possible.
Three: I have two of these, and one of them is significantly more noisy than the other. It's coming from the motor as it changes when adjusting the motor speed. It's a high pitch whine sound. The motor is brand new, I changed it but the sound remains. Any clues?
I would greatly appreciate if you can help me out on either of these.
