1U & 3U Eurorack Modules • R*S Serge VC Reseq voltage level question

Hello, my CGS reseq recently departed. I had installed three new sliders this year but all of a sudden its not working anymore. It was my favorite module. I'm thinking about sending it over to Jason but first I want to look for alternatives with more control.

Now I see R*S has a VC version with individual output for each band which is essential feature of the CGS and the only reason why I've not bought the Erica bank yet. Such a cool module but once you are used to patching the CGS output and chaning your system to a octupus of malice the Erica seem only cute in comparason.

I use it primarely as a industrial sound source. I mean "post mortem heavy electronics" and the alike. Is the R*S version capable as the fierce, howling electric madness that CGS does? I remember having the VCFQ filter and it was not optimized for eurorack voltages. Attenuator hog. Very annoying to use it even though it sounded phenomenal... Olease, someone tell me the R*S VCReseq functions with standard eurorack votlages (-5/+5) for modulation instead of -2.5/+2.5 and handles standard euro audio levels without distorting in not a pleasing way like the VCFQ. And please confirm that it is as rutheless as OG serge/CGS. I saw a discussion recently about how many essential old school parts from the OG design were removed from the recent R*S version and users were concerned about weather or not the latest R*S versions are not as gnarly.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but getting a reliable answer is really dear to me. My heart is broken after switching three sliders (and I'm totally new to DIY so this was NOT an easy task for me).

Thanks!
