Hello! I found myself trying to compare costs of different setups of Expert Sleepers gear and becoming very confused about what is able to connect to what. So as a visual thinker, I made diagrams of just about the ENTIRE Expert Sleepers lineup. I figured these might help others here decipher what the options are, and more importantly, what the prices of those options are. Obviously you can definitely overspend and get less functionality than an ES-9 for more money. Any corrections are welcome... I'm trying to learn my options here.
The "pricetag" in these images is based on the lowest prices I found for used or new, not including shipping.
These are from my perspective of using a Mac Pro 5,1 that has S/PDIF built-in, but you can obviously consider your own computer there.
Of particular note are the variety of voltages that are output from the different Expert Sleepers modules. Some are ±10v, some are only 0-9.5v, etc. The ES-10 has the widest range with ±11v on the outs and ±12v on the ins.
I figured this is just the kind of OCD that we like around here?
