So I recently bought a second hand Coco. I have a couple of questions....
Mine has some sort of resin(?) over the LEDs rather than the holes I see on some units. is this a new/old thing? when did they change?
This unit seems to only clear the buffers properly about one in every 10 attempts, is this normal? The left buffer certainly seems more unruly than the right although both can be ill behaved. I'm often left with a lot of noise (different to startup) or lots of clicks that sound like delay feeback of material I've recorded.
I notice the left dolby feedback switch is also very temperamental. Can anyone suggest a patch to test the dolby switches on the feeback knobs, the input ones I feel like I've sussed out.
Lastly, how hard are these things to open and check out? I've read @batchas thread about reflowing the op amps. I thought I'd ask before I start thinking about taking it apart, I have some DIY experience but rather not to try fix if it ain't broke.
I'm absolutely loving the unit though I must say, in general the sound, ethos and aesthetics are truly inspiring. I can see why people like them. I'll certainly be considering a plumbutter in the future.
Thanks in advance
