Over almost 2 decades I've built a large system. It grew and grew as I wanted this function or that until it became a big unruly mess and I quit using it. (102MU)
I tore it completely apart and then walked away from it for the last few years.
I was going to just sell it all off, but am too lazy to do all the work to do it. At the end of a work day I'm too exhausted to deal with it and be timely. (This will have to wait until I retire in 320 days)
So, tired of tripping over a room full of modules and cabinets I've started putting it back together. Only this time with an entirely different plan.
Instead of one massive wall of MU, I'm building 5 small single voice synths. Each one with a different architecture. These can sit around the studio and be at each separate station with it's own unique voice and limitations. Still flexible. But limited by the unique complement of modules installed.
I want, but won't purchase 2 filters that I would need to be traditional. (Unless I can trade some 2MU for 1MU filters.)
I just need one more power supply to do this.
Voice cabinet 1 is done. Voice cabinet 2 is almost done. Sequencer cabinet is done. Now to start planning Voice cabinets 3,4&5.
