Hey!
For all friends of LoFi vintage samplers sonics and their "dirty" sound I have compiled a list of these
old boxes and their used bit depths and sample rates.
Some of them are of course not vintage but are still there as a marker/end of the series where it ends.
This "end" is usually 16 bit / 44.1 kHz which became the standard and then everyone had it.
Other newer ones (Liven), on the other hand, are modern but are used for exactly this way.
So if you own a modern Toraiz SP-16, for example, you can emulate some of these old treasures quite well
with the right settings (LoFi PlugIn). There are also many good & free VSTs for this type of reduction/emulation.
If you want to cover something specific and know what gear was used back then, take a look.
My list is of course not complete and only lists the most used samplers at that time, if something is missing,
please feel free to make additions, also what you like best.
Have fun!
