I am thinking about building a large NLC synth in a 9U x 84hp case. Thinking about using Front Panel Designer to make three 3U x 84hp panels. And I'd like to use banana jacks. NLC PC boards are laid out for 3.5mm jacks to fit behind the panel. And for board-mounted pots.
I could use a method I've used before, where I make aluminum brackets that are held to the panel by panel parts and extend as far back as I need to mount the PC board. Then wire from the board to the panel parts.
I'd also be up against the fact the NLC board seem not to have corner mounting holes.
If banana jacks are too unfeasible, I could stick with eurorack format and just design the panels. But then I'm wondering how I could import into FPD from a PDF template, which is what NLC provides.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
