I’m attempting to take three audio sources and have them switchable between two different inverting mixer circuits. Normally I would send an audio source into the middle pin of the switch and have a resistor on each side of the upper and lower legs of the switch. Therefore, each throw has a dedicated resistor for separate op amps.
In the interest of using less parts and wiring, I thought that I would have the resistor before the switch and have the upper and lower pins directly connected to the summing node. This saves a ton of panel wiring. The large value resistors leading to ground are there so the op amp wouldn’t be floating if all the audio sources are all switched to one mixer.
With.all of this said, I have noticed that there is a popping sound when I switch between mixers. I am wondering if there is a solution for fixing this or is this the deal that I made with the devil when I choose to switch at the summing nodes rather than before the input resistor
