Maybe you know the situation: you need a spare part for your synth or sampler and it's actually a very cheap part.
In my case, a slim circuit board with 6 encoders on it for the SP-16. Total cost maybe 10€ or let it be 20€, it doesn't matter.
Now you have to ask a listed PioneerDJ-partner-repairshop >in your country< for the price and behold, there are huge differences.
In my country this spare part costs over 70€, in Greece or Poland only 35-45€, all Europe. And because it is fair, these partners are not allowed
to sell to other countries - not even inside the EU -, PioneerDJ forbids this (they say), so you have to take the expensive "partner spare part" in your country.
I feel ripped off because these parts have to be flown in everytime from Japan in the first place, just everything they don't have in stock, according to my partnercentre simply everything. These price differences speak volumes.
Fortunately, there are some (distant) partners who may make an exception and sell it, but i'm not naming anyone here, nor my country of origin,
because there's only one of these "fair" partners to choose from and he's stuffing his pockets.
And for this reason alone, I don't want to pay the repair guy in my country all that money.
What do you think about these practices, does PioneerDj know and care about them, or did you also have some of this fun?
