Seeking some assistance with possibly repairing a borked Takaab active mult.
I got it used off eBay ages ago very cheaply, so I appreciate it's really not worth repairing, but it would educative for me to try to do so, particularly as I've started building a few modules now and then.
It's a simple dual 1-in-3-out mult. Its *not* normalled to allow it to be used as 1-in-7-out.
It had worked fine since I racked it, but the other day it gave up the ghost with a lot of smell and smoke.
After pulling it, it looked like one of the TL074s had fried (discoloured & very hot), so replaced both with brand new 074s I had left over from building something.
It seemed to check out OK, so I reracked it & carried on.
Today it seems to have died again, but this time without any histrionics.
On the top 1->3 mult, the three outputs all show approx -12V out at all times.
The bottom 1->3 mult still works as it should.
On inspection, I can't see any obviously fried components this time.
Where might I start?
(I don't have a circuit diagram, but fwiw I've attached a pic.)
