Hello
i have reached a point in my modular journey where i'm happy with what my setup can do except for sidechaining my stuff (in an easy way).
As you can or cannot see in the pictures, i own an endorphin.es cockpit (bottom 1U module). My goal is to being able to sidechain (with the help of the cockpit) whatever i like, whenever i like without losing control of my voices at the mackie. That's why i don't want to put four voices into the cockpit, sidechain them with my kick and get one signal out into the mixer. I'd rather like to send/return this whole affair so that i can keep my channels on the mackie. Having written that - i'm a terrible noob when it comes to mixers - even though i've read the manual. so i tried send 1 which can be pre or post fader. I played around with this setting and found that pre fader is sh*t, at least for me. The signal is always either too weak or you can't mute the channel. I reckon this isn't the way to do it in the first place. So i stuck with post fader but i had to turn up the send 1 knob 100% AND the send master volume a good bit higher than i was used to. Somehow i get the feeling that i'm getting what i wanted in a bad way an that there is a better way. Could you help me with a few pointers (or move this thread to the place it belongs if this isn't it)?
