Expert Sleepers • ES-9 with Silent Way-clock from DAW to modular?

A while back I purchased a used ES-9, and have it working with no issues as an audio interface between my modular and Cubase 13. I have the ES-9 inputs and outputs available and labeled in Cubase. Realized today that I haven't tried clocking things in the modular (Vector sequencer, Pam's, etc) from Cubase and was thinking that the Sync plugin in Silent Way might provide a good way to do that, plus the other tools it includes could be fun too. So I purchased Silent Way, opened a previous Cubase file with a drum track, and added an effect track, selecting SW Sync as the insert. Figured out how to activate Silent Way by opening the Prefs window and entering my license (this is not documented anywhere that I could find, just stumbled across it). I have the output of the "effect" (SW Sync) assigned to output 1 of the ES-9.

Anyway, after trying everything I can think of, I have not been able to get a clock pulse out of the ES-9 when Cubase is running. I noticed that the "Hardware Mode" drop down in the SW Sync window only has options for ES-4 and ES-5. Has Silent Way not been updated for a long time? Which should I select, or do I even need to? What settings should I use to get midi clock from Cubase converted to CV/Audio clock using an ES-9 output? Is Sync the right plugin to use in Silent Way (sure seems like that's what it's for), or would something else be better?

I looked through the manuals for both SW and the ES-9 and haven't found anything helpful, no mention in either about the combination. Am I wasting my time with this combination and should use a different method? Just make a click track? I have a Disting and MI Yarns stored away, took them out of my cases to make room for other modules, but know they should work. Would prefer not to re-install them though if I can get DAW to modular clock using the ES-9.
