Hello! Does anyone have experience with Iridium & gate input signals?
I would like to be able to send a gate signal to the Waldorf Iridium in order to trigger the filter envelope whist I am holding down and playing various long chords (via a connected MIDI keyboard).
The effect of this would be to rhythmically chop up the chords - depending on the rhythm of the gate signal sent to the Iridium (and of course the filter envelope settings)
I understand from Waldorf support that this would have to be done by sending the gate pulse to a CV input of the Iridium (not the gate input) and then routing it to the filter envelope via the Mod Matrix.
Can anyone confirm if this works well? Any thoughts / advice on doing this would be great. (There does not seem to be many modern / reasonably affordable Polysynths that can accept gate signal and have it routed to a filter envelope.)
Thanks!
