Hi folks, hope this is the right spot for my post...
I have just completed refurbing my JD800 (red glue from hell, re-gluing all key weights, changing out the weird AC plug for a normal one, replacing all key contacts and cleaning them, new battery).
Turned it on and it worked perfectly.
I couldn't remember if I replaced the battery so I pulled it out and tested it. All good. Put it back, turned it on, got the "Re-initialize" message and hit "yes".
Now the keyboard refuses to play certain notes, and others are crazy loud. It was just working perfectly.
I tried this:
Press DATA TRANSFER
Use the PAGE up and down buttons to select FACTORY PRESET
Press YES
Not that, nor restarting the synth multiple times has helped.
I am so disappointed right now I could smash it all to pieces with my face.
Any suggestions on what to try out with the keyboard, or at what angle my face would be most effective in destroying it, are greatly appreciated.
