Not worried about camera choices. There's a decent one on my phone and I have an old DSLR. It's more how to position the camera with the minimum fuss and equipment.
I don't want my studio full of scaffolding!
Is it just down to a decent tripod that will go high enough and extend across the instrument far enough and still be stable?
I want to be able to capture my hands, preferably from above, or rather such that it can easily be seen what I'm playing. I will often be playing piano as well as synths so whilst I wouldn't need to cover all eight octaves of a piano keyboard, I might be playing across three or four octaves, sometimes.
Why?
Because I want to be the next synthfluencer and corporate shill? GOD NO!
My sight reading isn't brilliant so whenever I go back to playing a piece I've forgotten, it's in uphill struggle to get back up to speed. It's much easier for me to watch what I played to jog my memory ... hence I'd like to start keeping a video record of my studies.
Any input welcomed
