Hello dear community,

I bought a very rare device, the Perkons HD 01 in black. According to the serial number, it was released in 2023/04. I purchased the device used from a collector. The device was very expensive, more expensive than the used retail price. I was overjoyed to be the owner of a black Perkons, of which there were only 10 pieces! Or so I thought, until yesterday, when I saw that Erica Synths released a second small black edition that sold out immediately. I read online that Erica Synths decided to offer all further devices in black due to extremely high demand. I must admit I feel cheated. I contacted support and requested that there should be a solution for collectors who have invested a lot of money into this. The response from support was no. Their reasoning was that the devices that appeared online a long time ago were only intended for friends and were not meant for sale. However, it was expected that these coveted items would become collector's pieces and eventually appear on the market. Furthermore, Erica Synths says they had to release the black version due to poor sales, but the online story is completely different due to high demand.

Here are my thoughts on this: They deliberately launch devices on the market to tease potential buyers. Otherwise, the device would never have appeared online, and they would have had to immediately stop any attempt at sales, which they did not do and allowed to continue. Why was it officially announced that there would never be a black version, and why was a second limited edition offered if the color of a device is actually unimportant? What if they had initially only distributed black models and rare blue ones among "friends"?

Do you remember the Blue Marvin from Arp??

What do you think about this? The damage to me was immense. And it seems like Erica Synths doesn't care about what's happening here; instead, in my opinion, they are solely focused on sales figures.
