Now this question is kind of blurry but is centred around the ES3, so I’ve put it in this section…
In the the Pamela’s Pro Workout thread, MrV63 showed me his settings for Silent Way Sync in order to clock the Pam to my DAW.. thank you and I had no idea of that as a way of clocking Pam. This has led me to find my interface is not dc coupled so I need a way of getting an output into Pam.
I’ll admit this has haloed me understand the difference between clock sync and thinking a sequenced pulse can work via a midi-cv converter…
I’ve come to the conclusion that the ES3 would be a great and simple way to get the clock and run into Pam. If just use the ALM plugin but as I’m on ProTools, that’s a no go. So the ES3 it is…As it uses an Adat in, I need an interface to put adat out, nearly all have an adat in, so the most budget I can find with and adat out in the Behringer umc 1820… now all grievances aside, am I right in thinking that the es3 works simply by taking the adat from the interface and into the es3, selecting your outputs in the daw and that is mirrored on the module for nice dc coupled sync joy? I don’t want to buy the module and the interface only to find I’ve missed something…
Thanks
Pete
