I was working on something with shapeshifter a few weeks ago and accidentally entered preset step mode. Multitimbral monophonic madness ensued. I figured I might as well do some documentation since I'd made the trip. If you haven't heard shapeshifter do this trick. It sounds like this.

I've really only done a little exploring with this mode in the past. It's quite fun. I'm Interested in isolating the voices for tracking. I had the idea of running shapeshifter into a sequential switch being triggered by a duplicate of the shapeshifter sync input trigger, theoretically being able to sync preset steps to dedicated outputs on the switch. Not really sure if that would work and it would limit me to 4 voices with my doepfer a-151, which wouldn't be the end of the world. Appreciate any alternative ideas of how to achieve this, preferably with 4 more outs for tracking.
