General Gear • Help with gate problem in Monotron Delay

First post here and little knowledge of English, so I hope I'm not breaking any forum or language rules :)

Let's see if anyone can help me with a problem I have with a recently purchased second-hand Monotron Delay. When I received it, it wouldn't turn on because it wasn't making contact with the batteries, so I opened it, cleaned the spring with a bit of vinegar and bicarbonate and voila, I was able to get it working.

I'm putting this up in case it's related (which I don't think it is), but the real problem is that, after a day of, let's say, correct operation, when I now turn on the Monotron it emits a constant drone, as if I were pressing the lowest zone of the rubber keyboard. And there's no way to stop it, it's constant and it happens with both available waveforms. It only disappears if, logically, I lower the filter to minimum, but as soon as I raise it again it continues, and therefore becomes unusable. Looking back, I think this has been happening since the first session I had it connected to a Volca Bass, but I can't think of how it could be related.

Any idea what the cause might be and how I could fix it?

Thanks in advance. If it would help, I could upload a video to better understand the problem.
