This video by Robert Skerjanc demonstrates a DIY controller module that he made that controls 8 TF1 modules, distributing the voices in various ways.
It also has an audio input: from Sonicstate: "The audio in is a sampling input. The sample is analyzed by FFT and the result is used for additive synthesis which uses 48 operators of all 8 modules." That function alone makes this a very interesting device for me. Wondering if it's using Midimutant? https://thentrythis.org/projects/midimutant/
I am wondering if anyone knows anything more about this controller? Will it be for sale?
He has made other controllers for the Yamaha FS1R and VL1 as well.
I am also interested in how to replicate the functions of this module with software, for use with other software synths and hardware (I have a TX816). Layering and detuning, spectral sound layers seem easily achievable with existing maxforlive devices or other plugins designed for polychaining monosynths, for the temporal distribution mode--I guess put a MIDI delay on each of the voices?
He has a website https://www.skerjanc.de/wordpress/
Though there is not any info about it there.
