How do you perforn live the music you made in the studio with gear you couldn`t possibly take on stage with you?
I`m considering the idea of performing live, I`d like to perform some of the tracks I`v done in the past (in the studio). I can`t carry much and don`t have a "roadie" or any such thing, so at best it might be me, my gear and a Taxi, at worst; me my gear and train with lots of walking.
so far I`v boiled the idea down to 2 peices of gear that I could take, either my FA-06 or my MC-707, I can manage carying those.
The problem is that with the 707 I have limited sample time on board so I`d be seriously limited what I can do with sampling my external synths and it only has 8 tracks (which is plenty for some songs but not all).
The FA-06 is great! I have 16 tracks and nearly unlimited sampling, but then it would look like I`m using backing tracks, and I think that`s a bad look.
Playing keys to a backing-track (even though you made it yourself) isn`t very entertaining to watch and leaves me open to being called a cheater!
and I`m not even going to mention Loading time between tracks!
