I’m setting up a second voice in MU and need a dedicated VCA. Technically, I’ll have one in the Corsynth Timbre (it’s on the way), but I’d like a standalone unit too. Right now, I’ve got the Mos-Lab VCA — super clean solid sound. Back in my Eurorack days, I used a Verbos ATC, which added a lot of character to the VCA itself and had a Vactrol-based VCF, giving it a bit of that LPG vibe. I haven’t been able to find an LPG in MU format yet, but I’m still hunting for a used Megaohm.
What about you? What VCAs do you use, and what musical results have you achieved? Would love to hear your thoughts!
