TDLR: My SSF Ultra kick is not outputting VCO sounds no more, I'm in Australia.
I sent the email below to Andrew and it took him AGES to respond that I have to send him the unit. I'm not confident in sending this PCB overseas for it to get serviced at all, since Andy seems to have his overhead gone chokers, knowing that for him there's no money in repairing my mod.
If anyone knows anybody that is based in Australia that can take a look at it, so I don't have to send it all the way to New York, that would be appreciated.
Or if anyone would know what else I should try to get it going, let me know.
Anyhow, here's the deal:
Hey mate,
My UK stopped producing audio after transporting my case, which is actually a 12U mixer suitcase (SKB style).
Rear of units is exposed to a degree, however I am the exclusive accredited transport guy and I try not to do anything stupid.
Shortly after setup, I noticed that it would correctly receive triggers but the VCO would not be playing as usual.
I can hear the subtle hiss from the preamp and will hear it getting louder if I turn the dynamics knob to the right.
I did try a number of things as I thought it would have been a power issue, it sometimes happens with some modules.
Replaced the cable a few times, changed the port on the PSU hub, and to date still no audio.
The PCB looks fine, not a scratch, however the issue has to be related to some form of physical damage, picture below.

In order to avoid damage to other units, I will protect their PCBs with liquid electrical tape, it does a really good job as a mechanical protection. (I'm not a specialist in electronics, just basic)
There you go, cheers mate, let me know if you have any advice as I would really hate to have to send it back to the US or having to put a budget on repairs....
Thanks
