I'm looking to make a synth for adding to my mobile live performance setup and I know for a fact a lot of stuff will be plugged in one way, all the time, no questions asked, and at that point I kinda don't want a bunch of extra patch cables clogging up my bag. I know this is probably a cardinal sin or something so please don't bother with the "that's disgusting don't do it", but...
Is it possible to just hard wire certain signal paths instead of having a patch point? I could just make a new faceplate and streamline large sections of my synth. I know it's awful for modularity, but I have a planned setup and once it's built it is what it is.
I really appreciate any input you have, and I hope this can be a fun, productive conversation lol.
