Hi folks! So, I've been building my case bit by bit, and I realized that I might be running up against the limits of my -12V rail's 80% capacity before I actually make use of all my HP, at least according to listed specs. (I blame my Falistri and my ATN8 for that, oops...) The power brick that my Mantis shipped with is a FSP048-RHAN3, which lists a max output of 4A, and I'm not quite sure how that translates to the official Mantis specs (3A positive + 1.1A negative + 300mA 5V = ...4A?) So I have a couple questions for any of you that are a little smarter about the electrical side of eurorack.
1) Is my power brick actually above Mantis specs, or is there something about how the numbers add up that I don't know about?
2) Are there alternative power bricks that could give my Mantis a bit more juice, or should I just settle for a uZeus if my case starts having power troubles? Would a stronger brick damage the internals of the Mantis somehow?
(And don't worry, I won't rush to solve the problem before I actually know from experience that my case needs it, I'm just trying to have a backup plan.![:razz:]( "razz")
