The cables were getting out of hand again, I couldn't even identify which mixing desk channel each module was plugged into. Some modules were also getting difficult to reach due to cable linguini. It was time to start again. Completely unpatch both the modular and the mixer, hang up all the patch cables, do a bit of channel reorganisation, and then plug everything back into the mixer. Every module sat there alone, quietly waiting for instructions. I love this moment. I start an experimental session being guided by my feelings. 1 hour later and guess what, the unruly rule again. See the picture below - I took it because I was surprised how quickly i'd let it get confusing again.
