Hey all, couldn't find anything in search (maybe it was my choice of terms) but looking for a recorder with RCA inputs for video.
There are a few versions of ClearClick on Amazon that initially seem ideal. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BS8M8968/
They have a screen and simple i/o for plugging in video input and pressing play/record. Some reviews indicate the quality is possibly poor or blurry but I'm not sure if the reviewers themselves understand the difference in RCA vs any 4K or digital signal. But the one thing I dislike most is they seem to default to uncompressed video. So an hour is a few gigs of disk space. That will become lame very quick.
So I've gone to look at things like the Atomos Ninja, which is three times the cost and probably far more than I need. But I'm pretty sure you can set up compression scenarios with that, including no audio track (which would make the files even smaller)
Basically looking for something that can record a bunch of video, decent quality compression is fine, I'd like to fill up a smart card with experiments as they are made. RCA video input, save to card or USB. Most interested in image quality.
Also looking at DVR recorders from a few decades back and seeing some impressive options with removable hard drives and decent recording settings.
What do yall use? I don't want to fill up a laptop; just looking for the equivalent of a Zoom recorder for composite video. Thank you!
