I use Ableton Live12 with ES-9 and ES 5 in conjunction. After extensive study of all manuals, I configured the following setup, which allows me to use some of the ES-5 functions as I need or want to use them.
2 MIDI tracks, each with CV instruments, each with the voltage for OSC to Out 15 and 16 of the ES-9.
An audio track with ES-5 silentway PlugIn Audio to 7/8.
I can route one GateOut of the CV instrument to CV/Gate to ES5 controller track 3/4 and 5/6. Always in pairs.
I route another audio track with an inserted PamSync PlugIn on the output side to the third existing 7/8 SW ES-5 controller input.
After setting the "Input to Gates" in the ES-5 plug-in from Silentway 3 1/1, 5 1/2, 7 1/7 and 8 1/8, I can access my two CV instruments track gates on the first and second out as well as the two Pamellas PW signals on 7 and 8.
I can't get any further at the moment.
Can someone explain to me in a way that I can understand why 1/2 is not available for the ES-5 controller plug-in track and the others are only available in pairs?
Why not like this or how can you access the "Inputs to Gates" in the ES-5 controller plug-in individually??
I would also like to use the other outputs on the ES-5 with other gate functions or clocks so as not to waste the 8 outputs on the ES-9. Because I could use them better for LFOs or envelopes or whatever.
Thanks for any tips
