I used to have a Korg DVP-1 (not that great of a unit imho) and a Roland SVC-350. <-- got it for free from a used music store in '93. Guy said that if I know how to use it, I can have it.
I sold both of them a few years ago. BIG mistake on the SVC-350.
I'm looking for something that is as similar to the old Roland as I can find. I'd prefer that it isn't something 3u and will take up room in my rack. I also would rather avoid something that is a full keyboard synth. That being said, I'll make concessions if it's exactly what I want.
I've done a lot of looking on YT. 99% of folks who demo vocoders show it off by singing with it, playing chords etc.
I need an old school 80's robot machine!
