General Gear • Oberheim Xpander CV Inputs – Defeating Quantization

I’ve been diving into the CV inputs on my Oberheim Xpander; the CV is quantized, creating noticeable steps rather than the smooth, continuous changes I’m aiming for. This becomes especially limiting when trying to apply microtuning or fine control over pitch for more subtle tonal shifts: furthermore, it causes all sorts of glitches if the voltages aren't within certain ranges.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to disable or bypass the quantization on CV inputs, or is this a hardwired feature of the Xpander?

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tackled this.
