Horripilation is an audio processor module for eurorack used for oscillating distortion effects.
The first stage is a 6CB6 pentode amplifier with feedback.
CV for feedback with a vactrol for unique slewed slappy blippy response.
Then the output of that first distortion processor is fed into a smooth non resonant filter/tone shaper
created with another 6CB6 pentode and also using a vactrol for CV.

With the filter knob full clockwise it lets through all the oscillating feedback sounds.
Pulling back counter clockwise rolls off some of the harshness.
The intended use is to get plucky rhythms by inserting pulses or snappy envelopes into the CV of the filter.

Try using this module in patches where you would normally use a Low Pass Gate but then follow it up
with a VCA(like the right channel of the TVM23) to fully close off the signal.

This module is best used for processing the output of a VCO.
High frequency FM’d sources work best.

22 HP wide.
38mm rear depth.
500 mA +12 on first power up.
200 mA +12 average load after power up.
50 mA -12.

This module is meant to pair with the TVM23 for dual distortion and utilizing the VCA for final dynamics control.

It is recommended to start with the knobs set in the picture below:
IMG_1924.JPG
Knob 1 left (feedback) about 3 o'clock
Knob 2 (input level) about 9 o'clock
Knob 3 (output level) about 3-5 o'clock
knob 4 right (filter/tone control) 3-4 o'clock

Lower input levels result it more oscillations from the feedback. Higher input levels result in more saturation but reduce oscillations.
When the right knob 4/tone/filter is set full clockwise/5o'clockish it lets all the oscillations through.
Pulling back rolls off the harsh frequencies.
It is recommended to always have CV applied to the filter to get plucks and blaps and rhythmic movement.
When CV is applied work the knob counter clockwise. The knob sets the center point when CV is applied.

They just got the order in, so give them some time to get it on the website.

Extra special thanks to Shawn/AH for the "Fuck yeah build that shit! We want to sell it!"
