So, after many years of multi-tracking into Logic using a MOTU, I have decided to take a more primitive route.
After acquiring a Hermod+, I've realized that I really don't need a computer for sequencing. I've decided to do all my mixing through my Mackie CR1604VLZ into a Denon cassette deck. I'm going to give a it a couple of months to see how things go before I decide to upgrade. However, I do have some questions for anyone else who has taken this route...
Are there any decent digital recorders that I should consider? I am not looking to multi-track and really only need something that take L/R.
Does anyone have experience with the Tascam 122 (any version)? I thought about getting one if I like tape recording. I've heard that they are workhorses that are relatively easy to service.
