Hello Wigglers,
I've been starting to get a real interest in the LW format and I'm looking for some guidances/ideas in terms of case design. ( I do have a pretty good grasp on the eurorack standard, making most of my cases from scratch with vector rails and happy ending kit, but LW is new for me so any experiences are welcome.)
My initial thinking is that I could drill an AC-423 bud box to fit the standard (32 holes total?) and use rivet nuts to secure the modules. Does anybody have experience with this? ( btw, I do not trust my ability to drill things correctly, but rivet nuts do seem to have some leeway in terms of tolerance? Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
Most of the appeal for me to use these boxes ARE the lack of rails, (pretty cheap to buy the whole box instead of waiting for the wood glue to dry + mounting vector rails on to side cheeks can be not so pleasurable) So rails are out of the equation for me.
(plus I'd like to believe I have my euro stuff in check and don't plan on taking it apart anytime soon.)
Any experience shared would be highly appreciated!
best,
-Y
