I am running three oscillators into a filter. When I use one oscillator it sounds pristine and clear but when I mix my 3 oscillators before the filter it sounds muddy. I have tested using the Doepfer 138b mixer and Intellijel Designs Quadratt 1U but they sound equally bad.
I have tried different volumes to make sure I don't clip or saturate but it stills sound muddy on low volumes. Should I invest in a more expensive mixer? will it make any difference? Or do I need to get three filters of the same type and then mix the output of those? Any recommendations? Thanks!
