Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a VCO and I've encountered tons of problems (temperature variations, matching components, components imperfections, tough timing, ...). Personally I found it really fun and instructive so i will pursue the project, but does it makes sense to do this kind of modules when some VCO chip could do the job (and surely better than my okayish design?)
Especially :
- does the little imperfections of analog would make it sound significantly more interesting ? (for a VCO with proper temperature compensation and tracking of course)
- is it really limiting in terms of creativity to be constrained by a chip features ?
- and concerning other kind of modules, do the same arguments apply ?
Thanks!
