I attempted to load some MIDI files to playback in dual mode. I followed the instructions and made a MIDI folder, which I have successfully used in single mode, but when attempting to play them in dual mode, I ran into an error that said no MIDI folder. I created a midi playlist using the example file in the user manual. Once booting up my DistingEx, it loaded very slowly, specifically the screen display (a slow swiping update). I found on this forum that it is recommended that I roll back from 1.25.2 to 1.25.1 firmware.1 When I attempted this when entering the loading screen, I encountered the message "looking for firmware files." Again, the forum recommended that I format my SD card.2 In doing so, I'll erase the current contents of the SD card, so I created a local copy of them to bump back on the SD card. I loaded up the copied files on the newly formatted SD card.
I installed firmware 1.25.1; it booted up with no problem. When I tried to add the "MIDI" folder, I got the slow loading issue again, but my MIDI file showed up in the J1 and J3 algorithm. When I delete this folder or rename it "midi" (lowercase), the slow loading issue disappears, but I again face the "no MIDI folder" problem.
TL;DR I want to play a MIDI file using the dual boot but run into extremely long loading times, which are caused by slow swipe animation. Can someone provide me with some direction on how to get this thing working?
