As someone getting into recording in a home studio I'm torn between Ableton 12 Standard and Suite and on the various options for purchasing the software. I'm leaning toward the Standard version and supposed I could always upgrade, but I'm wondering what others have to say. Can anyone recommend where to get it at the lowest price? I see Thomann has it for considerably less than Ableton, but I'm suspicious of buying from them since they are outside the U.S.

Novation SL 49 MKiii, Oberheim / Sequential OB-6, Roland MC-707, Roland Juno 106, Roland JX-03, Roland SH-01A, Roland System 1. My goal is to use the Novation as a controller for everything and the RME Fireface UFX II is the interface and Adam A7v’s are the monitors.
