Music Tech DIY • How to avoid thump noise on the headphones output

I added an headphone output on one of my stand alone synth I designed/built. This synth runs at 5V from USB power.
As headphones driver I used the TPA6111A2 IC.

Datasheet:

There is a quite big thump sound when switching the unit on and off. I’m wondering if I can avoid that by using (in some way) the shutdown pin on the TPA6111A2. It is currenty held at GND.

Thank you!
